QC3 Projects for the Community

PROJECTS THE COMMUNITY CAN & SHOULD DO
  • Design and reopen a teen center
  • Start a band
  • Build a swimming float / dock
  • Open a community gym, or get the school to allow exercise equipment to be used with a supervisor present
  • Advertise the things we have now (like the gym)
  • Get a small movie theater, like the Rose in PT, with movies young adults want
  • Create jobs
  • Bigger (more grown up) & safer rides at the Quilcene Fair (use PT fair as a model)
  • Live music venue & concerts – variety of music:  rock, folk, country
  • Rentals – mountain bikes, quads
  • “Bite of Quilcene”
  • Pot luck at the community center every week or so
  • Restore the High School band
  • Bowling alley / maybe with human “pin setter”?
  • Get paid for “volunteer work” the kids now do – provide bonuses, incentives for vol. work
  • Kids design more activities for the Quilcene Fair
  • Bakery
  • Get residents to make artworks to sell – pottery, metal sculpture, etc.
